1. Archive Expenses: since 2010 the Society has spent 2,400 on
maintaining the archives and memorabilia of which 1,700 was recovered by the sale of DVDs etc. 2. Tendring Show 2014: our Caring Past was part of the CHUFT exhibition we have been asked to take part again this year. 3. Items from the Penfold Collection: are displayed and changed at: a)The PCC entrance in the 5 display windows. b) The Post. Grad. Centre at foyer and Room 5. c) The Creffield Medical Centre. 3. Ongoing Projects : Help from members welcome a) Indexing Dr Penfolds Local Doctors Biographies onto the web is now at letter L. with the assistance from pupils at the Colchester Royal Grammar school. b) Recording local doctors memories for Colchester Recalled. We now have an External Hard Drive with voice-recorded memories of more than 60 local doctors available for research or for copying onto discs for family members. c) Colchester Medical Practices Histories: with Dr John Owen: East Hill and 19 Creffield Rd, are completed,GreyRd/Ambrose Av, 16 Creffield Rd and Wimpole Rd in progress. d)Medical Walk through the town planned for May/June, 4. Essex County Hospital Closure: the Society has been actively involved in ensuring that memorabilia is not lost so photographs have been taken of all existing features.
