I have known Katelyn for about six years, and it has been a pleasure to watch her grow into a self-assured, kind, and confident young lady. In the classroom, Katelyn is a hard-working and dynamic student. She enjoys learning and working with others. She is assertive, intelligent, caring, and a team player. I remember her enthusiasm for her favorite classroom activities and her fun sense of humor. She currently carries a 3.9 grade point average, which is a testament to her solid work ethic. Other teachers have noticed this too; she received Outstanding Student awards for many subjects and is on the Summa Cum Laude list. At SVHS, Katelyn is definitely a leader. She is very involved in Student Government and National Honor Society. Both organizations appreciate her ability to lead others and work hard for the betterment of our school. I always see her working hard on one project or another. Katelyn has shown her solid work habits outside of school as well. She works for a doctor on the cleaning crew and is known to be very reliable and is motivated to do her best. 1 know that whatever she does, she will show her positive attitude. Ona personal note, I admire Katelyn for her resilience. Life hasn’t always been easy, but she sure makes it look like it is. She takes adversity in stride and always stays positive. I really enjoy the chances I get to chat with her and I will miss her when she is gone. She is a very special young lady who will be successful because she has the desire to be.
