Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:

A man was injured during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ( ;)he then had a
sexual dream, and he was advised to wash and he washed himself. Consequently he
died. When this was reported to the Messenger of Allah ( )he said: They killed him;
may Allah kill them! Is not inquiry the cure of ignorance?

Abu Saeed Al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
Verily, you will follow the path of those who came before you, step by step and inch by
inch, such that if they entered the hole of a lizard you would follow. We said, O Messenger
of Allah, do you mean the Jews and Christians? The Prophet said, Who else?

Hadith on Reason: Do not be a blind follower

of people, rather be good and never unjust

Hudhaifa reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, Do not let
yourselves become blind followers, saying that if the people are good then we will be good,
and if they are unjust then we will be unjust. Rather, make up your own minds. If the
people are good then be good, but if they are evil then do not be unjust.
