Kejriwals comeback

Arrey puri bahumat to de kar dekho, Aam Admi ke taqat dekho, taqat dekho, were the
opening lines of the music director duo, Vishal-Shekars newly composed song, Paanch saal
Kejriwal. This was one of the many performances that, followed with the high-decibel-music
and sloganeering of by the party chief, Arvind Kejriwal at the launch of Delhi Dialogues, which is
aimed foraiming at the upcoming State Assembly elections scheduled at the start of the New
Year.
Will the New Year bring fresh fortune for the AAP? If Kejriwal didnt resign nearly a year back,
this grand opera at the Jantar Mantar wouldnt have been unfolding at the year end. Kejriwal
would have still been the Chief Minister, respecting the peoples mandate and working towards
it.
Can Kejriwal make a comeback?
Well, he is trying hard. He has already started his campaigning, while his main opponent, BJP,
is confident that no matter how hard Kejriwal tries, it is a different ball game all together
compared to the 2013 Assembly election run-up.
What will make Kejriwals return to power an uphill task?
Lets keep the list short.

Numbers- Kejri formed a minority government last time with the outside support of Congress.
If we look at the numbers, out of 70 seats;, 32 went to BJP, 28 went to AAP and 8 went to
Congress.
To form a government, one would require more than 50%, in this case 36 seats, which is the
majority. Can AAP get 36 seats on its own? Be rest assured, Congress would be lucky enough to
win 1one seat this time. So, even if AAP gets 28 seats like the previous year, which is again
unlikely, it would be on its own.
So, Ccan Kejriwal get to that magic number? Seems like climbing a mountain without his boots,
to be honest.
