speech : addressing the issue

Ladies and gentlemen,

The most critical issue under the purview of the Ministry of Education as outline
under the National Educational Transformation Blueprint 2013 -2025 is give access to
education for all, to provide quality education, Equity , Enhance Unity and Efficiency which
encompass the process on how to develop and transformed the student not only as a good
citizen in terms of behaviour but it comes in a package of great performance and
achievements in academic as well. Thus, the performance issue should be emphasizes in this
meeting to identify and discuss the issues of academic performance especially the
performance of three main or core subjects namely Mathematics, Science and English
language which has been categorized as poor in terms of performance or percentage of
number of students who passed with a minimum of grade D in the previous Ujian Pencapaian
Sekolah Rendah (UPSR).
May I draw the attention of members of the meeting, that the performance of our
school in UPSR showed a marginal increased in the overall achievement of students from an
average of 78% in UPSR examination in 2013 to 88% in the recent results in 2014.

In

addition, the schools had produced 7 straight As student last year compared to only 5
students in 2013. This shown the spirit and efforts put together by teachers and parents had
born it fruits. For this, I commended the effort and express a big round of applause to
everybody.
