Functional Specification
The problem that was given in our Engineering class was to build a device
that would be able to pick up four balls one by one and put them in a bucket. The
four balls are all going to be scattered around, but they are going to be within a 10
to 20in radius. The same thing will happen with the bucket. As shown in the picture
below.

The four balls are different sizes and each weigh differently. The types of
balls that there is a golf ball, a ping pong ball, a tennis ball, and a pool ball. In my
own/teachers opinion the pool ball is going to be the hardest to pick up because it is

the heaviest and the smoothest of them all. This is difficult because for example if
you build a claw, the smoothness of the pool ball may cause the claw to not pick it
up. The base of the project can only be in one place and has to stay there, however
you can pivot the base so you can make it rotate you just cant have it slide. You
can only move the device by pulling strings that are routed through the base plate.
There are materials that you can buy with imaginary money. In the table
below will list the materials that you can use and the cost of the materials.

If you have some balls in the bucket, and you drop one, you have to start
over. That is what we have to do for our problem that was assigned to us in our
Engineering class.
