Dear Ms. Julane Cappo:
With a passion for the sport of football, and a particular talent in coaching
individuals, I believe I withhold the necessary qualifications to join the coaching
staff at Northern Michigan University as an assistant coach. I am interested in this
position because I have experience playing football for Northern Michigan University
and thus have a love for the universitys athletic program. I want to serve as a
positive support for the program and I believe my extensive knowledge of the
technical side of football will allow me to do so.
My experience as both a high school and college football player, and my volunteer
opportunities of coaching youth football camps has given me a variety of
experiences that qualify me for this position. I possess excellent communication
skills which will allow me the ability to effectively convey information to the team
members and coaching staff. I have also received a Bachelors degree in Business
Management with a minor in sports management from Ferris State University.
I am extremely interested in this position and I am confident that I will make an
immediate and positive contribution to Northern Michigan Universitys football
program. I look forward to hearing from you to set up an interview. During my
interview I would love to discuss my experience as a college football player at
Northern Michigan University and how that experience would be beneficial to my
role as an assistant coach.
