RESPECTFUL

As a teacher and an educator, I will be respectful and

tolerant of all peoples, ethnicities, and races. Any decision I
make will be made with the knowledge that all people are
humans and deserve to be treated as such. Just because
someone looks, acts, or is different doesnt mean that they
ought to be treated as such.

COMMITTED
to pledge or engage onself

As a teacher and an educator, I will be committed to my

profession. I will do my best in everything I do, striving for
excellence with all students, and not backing down until I
know that I have done the best possible job for each student.

A LEARNER:
a person who is learning; student; pupil; apprentice; trainee
(dictionary.com, 2014)

As a teacher and an educator, I will be a life-long learner,

constantly educating myself to try and improve myself. I
know that I am never done improving. I will never have
arrived and there will also be something that I can do to be
better. As long as I am learning and improving myself, I will
be the best educator I can be.

MORAL:

As a teacher and an educator, I will be moral, knowing the

difference bet ween right and wrong - in terms of my
conduct and the decisions that I make for students. The
main principle of education is doing what is in the best
interest of the students - if one can plainly see that all
decisions made are in the best interest of students, it will be
plain to see that I am acting on the distinction of what is
right and what is wrong.

FULL OF INTEGRITY:
adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty

As a teacher and an educator, I will be full of integrity. I will

abide by this code of ethics and do all things honestly. I will
be ethical in all decisions and be sure that what I am doing is
truthful and in the best interest of students.

A TEACHER:
a person who teaches or instructs, especially as a profession; instructor (see teach)
TEACH: to impart knowledge of or skill in; give instruction in
(dictionary.com, 2014)

No matter where my career takes me (math coach,

administrator, superintendent), I will first and foremost
always be a teacher. Whether I am teaching children or
teaching teachers, I will still be a teacher.
