Activities in January 2015

7th lions BOD meeting


(15th January 2015)
3 key officers of Kolej
TDTH Bujangs attended
the Lions BOD meeting
to present their
respective reports. The
Lions also celebrated
the Lions and Leos
birthday which falls on
the month of January to
build good rapport
among each other.

Visit and donation to Miri old folks home


(17th January 2015)

A total of 3 Leos and 1 faculty advisor from KTDTHBs Leo Club went to
Miri Old Folks Home. This project was organized by Leo Lee Gia Horng
from Leo Club of Curtin University. The project was also attended by 5
Lions from the sponsoring Lions Club of Miri Host. The Lions Club and
Leo Clubs donated two sewing machines and some groceries to the Old
Folks Home.

After visited Old Folks Home, the Lions and Leos went to McDonald
for breakfast. The breakfast was personally sponsored by Lions Club
of Miri Host President Peter Ling.

On-going project: long-term recycling


project (19th 22nd January 2015)
This project is aimed to encourage students,
teachers and staffs of Kolej TDTH Bujang to
recycle the recyclable items as habit in their daily
life to save the environment. After a few months
this recycling project is on-going, we received
great support from school community and manage
to collect a lot of recyclable items such as papers,
books and boxes. Leos worked together to clean
the recycle area to provide more spaces for more
upcoming recyclable items.

This project is aimed to raise fund in conjunction
with Chinese New Year for the clubs upcoming
charities/activities. All leos worked together to sell
oranges throughout the school to students,
teachers and staffs of Kolej TDTH Bujang.

Anugerah Pengurusan Kemanusiaan


Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Miri ke-6
(2nd February 2015)
Our clubs immediate past president, Leo Joel Leslie
managed to win the first place for Anugerah Murid
Lelaki Cemerlang Sekolah Menengah and
our club won the third place for Anugerah Kelab dan
Persatuan Sekolah Menengah based on
the excellent achievement in 2014.

On-going project: Fund-raising project- Selling


of Red Couplets in conjunction with Chinese
New Year (5th February 5th March 2015)
This project is aimed to raise
funds for the clubs upcoming
projects and introduce Chinese
culture to our school community.
The red couplets were sold to
family, friends, teachers and even
the community outside the school.
The students, teachers and staffs
of KTDTHB showed support for
this project by purchasing the red
couplets from fellow Leos in return
to donate to charity.

On-going project: Long-term Recycling


Project(12th February 2015)
This project is aimed to encourage students, teachers and
staffs to Kolej TDTH Bujang to recycle the recyclable
items as habit in their daily life to save the environment.
After a few months this recycling project is on-going, we
received great support from school community and
manage to collect a lot of recyclable items such as
papers, books and boxes. We managed to collect
RM134.05 by selling the recycled items to the recycling
centre.

4 of our Leos went to visit
our Faculty Advisor,
Madam Chang Siaw Huis
house to celebrate Chinese
New Year together.

Volunteering to help in Schools


Chinese New Year Celebration
(24th February 2015)
In conjunction with Chinese New Year, our school held a
celebration where teachers, staffs and students gathered
together in the schools hall to witness this prestigious
celebration. There were many activities held throughout
the day such as games. The Leos helped to handle the
games held during celebration by setting up the games
equipments.

Leo T-shirt Design Competition


(26th February 2015)
All Leos are required to design a Leo T-shirt. The
design which wins the competition will be used to
design the Leo Club or KTDTHBs Leo T-shirt for the
upcoming Leo Camp.

Discussion of Leo Camps Activities


(26th February 2015)
All form 5 Leos of Leo Club of KTDTHB and 3 faculty
advisors gather to do discussion regarding the
progression of upcoming Leo Camp activities. Tasks
are divided and given to all Form 5 Leos by
organizing chairperson, Leo Nicole Franco. The
discussion was supervised by 3 faculty advisors to
ensure the activities suggested by the committee
members are appropriate for the Leo Camp.

8th Lions BOD Meeting


(27th February 2015)
The three key officers of Leo Club of KTDTHB attended the
Lions meeting and present their clubs report respectively.
During the meeting, the key officers also took this opportunity
to sell red couplets to the Lions in conjunction with Chinese
New Year to raise funds for the clubs upcoming project.

Participation and Help in schools Pesta Tanjong


(28th February 2015)
Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang organized Pesta Tanjong to raise
funds for the school. Lion Peter Yong, Lion Charlie Ma and Lion John
Ling attended the Pesta Tanjong to help raising funds for the school by
purchasing the Pesta Tanjongs coupons. Furthermore, four Leos
volunteered to usher the VVIP guest during Pesta Tanjong.

Fund-Raising project: Selling of Mandarin


Oranges and Red Couplets in conjunction
with Chinese New Year
(27th January 2015- 28th February 2015)
This project is aimed to raise fund in conjunction with
Chinese New Year for the clubs upcoming
charities/activities. All leos worked together to sell
oranges ad red couplets to Lions, parents, relatives,
friends and Kolej TDTH Bujangs students, teachers and
staffs. We managed to raise RM1028.50

Fellowship with Immediate Past Key Officers


and Leos during Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia
(SPM) Result-taking Day (3rd March 2015)
Our schools named soared higher with the excellent
achievement of the SPM examination. We had a little
reunion and fellowship with the immediate Past Key
Officers and Leos. Our Immediate Past President Leo
Joel, Immediate Past Treasurer Leo Gibson, Leo Michelle,
Leo Nurin, Leo Jeremy, Leo Fabron, Leo Billy and Leo
Marilyn have achieved excellent results in their SPM.

Participation in schools Chinese New


Year RIMUP (5th March 2015)
In conjunction with Chinese New Year, our school held a
celebration(RIMUP CNY) where teachers, staffs and
students gathered together in the schools hall to witness
this prestigious celebration. There were many activities
held throughout the month and Leo Colin Lee volunteered
to be the emcee for the function. This celebration was
held to enlighten the spirit of Chinese New Year and
introduce Chinese cultures.

Annual General Meeting

In the afternoon, two key officers of Leo Club
of KTDTHB attended the annual general
meeting with the Lions from Lions Club of Miri
Host. They presented their reports
respectively.

At night, four leos attended the dinner after the annual
general meeting and build good rapport with the Lions
and Leos from other club.
