CDCP HIREL UPS START UP PROCEDURE

(Follow the instructions step by step strictly !! )
(1) Turn On the MCCB CBI (Circuit Breaker- Input Supply to Rectifier)
(2) In the Monitor menu in the front Control Pad, check the Battery Voltage.
(3) Wait till the Battery Voltage reaches atleast 375V DC. (It is the Rectifier Output
Voltage).
(4) Turn On the MCCB CBB (Circuit Breaker- Battery Bank)
(5) Turn On the MCCB CBA (Circuit Breaker- Alternate)
(6) ) Turn On the MCCB MIS (Module Isolator Switch)

for approx 3 seconds.

To Transfer load from Inverter of UPS to Alternate Supply

** Before doing this change over, check the status of the MBS
(Main Bypass Switch)
(1) In the Master UPS (out of the Master / Slave UPS), in control keypads PCB (at
the back of the
keypad), put the bottom most DIP switch in right side position.
(2) Then, in the CONTROL menu in the keypad, give password as 123.

(3) Then, inside the same menu goto the option Transfer Load to : Inverter. To
transfer the Load to
Alternate supply, select Transfer Load to : Alt.
(4) In control keypads PCB, put the bottom most DIP switch back to its original
position.
Nominal Voltage of each cell = 1.2 V DC
Total no. of cells in CDCP UPS = 275
Charging voltage of each cell should be = 1.4 V DC
So, charging voltage of total 275 cells of CDCP UPS = 275 x 1.4 = 385 V DC
Also, specific gravity of each cells electrolyte should be approx 1.20
And, level of electrolyte should be between Maximum and Minimum levels marked.
If the level falls below Minimum, then top up with Demineralised water to bring the
level between the Maximum and Minimum levels.
The power changes over from Inverter to Auxiliary automatically when the battery is
discharged up to 1.1 V DC per cell. The float charging current in CDCP is approx.
40A in stable condition when battery is discharged.
