To Whom It May Concern:
I am privileged to be able to write a reference letter for Kimberly Brocar-Marchesseault.
I have known Kim since the beginning of the 2014/2015 school year when I first started
teaching at Waits River Valley School. Kim was instrumental in facilitating my transition
into my new position and she exemplified the character and colleagueship apparent in the
teachers and staff at Waits River Valley School.
As a new member of the WRVS's grade one team, I required a number of elements
necessary to serve the needs of our students. Kim provided a welcoming environment
and a willingness to share materials, ideas, and her time. She provided an endless supply
of curriculum documents to get me started. The time she took to review the information,
including school policies, procedures, schedules, student needs, and curriculum went well
beyond what I had expected.
Kim's gentle and caring nature is reflected by her interactions with her students. Her kind
demeanor is well received by students throughout the school. The environment she
creates in her classroom provides a model for her students, one that extends beyond her
presence as it is demonstrated by her students even when she is not present.
Kim offers a solid understanding of the content she teaches. Kim's content knowledge
was first demonstrated when she reviewed the grade one curriculum at the beginning of
the year. Her knowledge has since been a on-going resource. Kim's willingness to
collaborate, in an inviting manner, has been consistent throughout the year.
I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such a professional educator. I believe that
she will bring the same attributes I have come to expect to any education environment.
