Personal Statement: Controller

I am greatly interested in becoming the controller on Sigma national executive board because I would like to
serve the sorority as an alumna. This position is a role that best fits my qualifications and what I feel most
passionate about. I have been the Treasurer for Tau Chapter since Fall 2013 and will be serving until
graduation in May 2015. I will be graduating with a bachelor's in Finance from the University of Maryland and
am currently pursuing a career in financial services. I have had success in my undergraduate role so far in
improving the transparency of communicating financial information to the sisterhood as well as actively being
involved in chapter EBOD decision making activities. I hope that to be elected in this role with the goal of
continuingly to plan for the bright future of our sorority and to make financial decisions that align with our shortterm and long-term goals.
