Mission Statement:
To achieve a Chamber that adds value to its members, supports the
local economy and is seen as a leader in local business matters.
Objectives & Outcomes:
Following are four objectives and outcomes to be achieved over the
coming year.
1. (Fully Operational) - To create a stable and well balanced Chamber
built around its web presence as its main focal point and point of
contact.
2. (Quality meetings) - To make sure all meetings are added value,
worthwhile, interesting, inventive, supportive and enjoyable for our
members to attend.
3. (Membership Recruitment) - Look to increase our profile, build our
membership to include a bigger and wider audience and encourage
some of the bigger companies to become involved.
4. (Income Generation) - Create a better income stream to support our
Business Manager and the Chamber.
Following is a brief action plan setting out the four objectives as above,
which we need to set time scales and objectives to achieve.

ACTION PLAN:
1. (Fully Operational)
To achieve via a web site that is interesting proactive, easy to
navigate and interactive to include.
News section 2/3 paragraph update fed from one line e-mail
jogger/introducer
Events section (TDCC plus others as appropriate, busy calendar.
Reports on events held)
Membership list (Permanent with members links and details)
Member profile (A weekly/ monthly update for one of our
members with a bit more in depth detail)
New member profile (as and when, Chamber welcomes XX)
Regular business updates ( TBC)
Chairmans updates
Outside Committee updates (TBC)
Build a stronger data base to support the Chamber

2. (Quality meetings)
To create value added meetings:
Set programme of events that should attract old & new
members.
Build links with Wessex to undertake supporting and promoting
events.
Build a better network to promote Chamber events
Build better links with the press to promote the Chamber
Include a members update at the beginning of our breakfast
meetings.
Produce a protocol template for meetings with timings and text
