Councilmember Sherman to Release

Vision and Funding Options
for New Chargers Stadium
Sherman to Release Visual Images and Financing Options
for Revitalization of Qualcomm Site
SAN DIEGO Councilmember Scott Sherman will be releasing his broad vision for a new multi-use
Chargers Stadium and revitalization of the 166 acre Qualcomm location. Councilmember Sherman will
also provide a menu of funding options for the proposed new site.
Revitalizing the current land with mixed-use residential, commercial and retail properties centered
around a new riverfront park space and a multi-use Chargers stadium as an anchor could create a
renaissance for the San Diego River area.
The plan will be submitted to the Citizens Stadium Advisory Committee for their consideration.
