Poster Session: Presentation of research information by an individual or group with an
academic or professional focus. It combines text and graphics to make a visually pleasing
presentation. It can take place in a large room and several smaller rooms. When viewers
walk by, your poster should quickly and efficiently communicate your research. Poster
Sessions allows viewers to study your information and discuss it with you one on one.

Introduce and explain Poster Sessions

Divide the class into 3 groups. Two large tables put together with chairs that will give

enough room to work.

Give each group a health topic: Topics that were covered are importance of sleep, stress

management, and nutrition and exercise.

Topics will be placed in the in the poster on an index card.
Each group will have a tri-fold poster and magazines/brochures to use for their topic.
Arts and Craft supplies will be provided and will be placed in the center of the room.
The groups have 10 minutes to complete posters and 2-3 minutes to share with the class.
Members from the group share something new/interesting theyve learned.
There will be a contest for the most informational/ creative posters
