Congratulations!

You have been chosen by a special student as the lucky recipient of Flat
Stanley! As a part of our class study of geography, we have read the book
Flat Stanley. In the story, the main character Stanley is flattened by a
bulletin board (but dont worry, he doesnt get hurt!) He soon finds out that
being flat means that he can travel via the postal service and his parents
send him in an envelope to California to visit relatives!
Today, Flat Stanley has been sent to you for a visit! He is looking to visit and
learn about your community. Enclosed you will find a Flat Stanley character
with a handwritten letter from someone special. Please complete the
following steps:

1. Read the handwritten note! A talented student has written it with great
care!
2. Help Stanley continue his adventures by taking him on an adventure
with you! Write a note back to us telling about the types of things
Stanley got to do with your during his visit (it can be anything that you
normally do during a typical day or something special!)
3. Include a photograph of Flat Stanley in or around the place that you
liveJust take Stanley somewhere that you go, and snap a photo!
4. Fill out the community questionnaire. We would like to learn more about
your area as a part of our studies of geography.
5. Please send the completed project back (including Stanley!) to the child
that sent it to you at the following address by March 2nd (if you can!):

When your letter is received at school, our class will discuss the adventure
that Stanley has had with you, read the information about your community,
and will plot all the locations that Flat Stanley travels on our classroom map!
