I have known Ms. Krzesowiak for the past three years as a colleague in my position as a Social Studies teacher and Department chair. Within the social studies department, Ms. Krzesowiak has demonstrated an exemplary ability in adapting a rigorous curriculum to meet the range of needs that are present within her classroom. Ms. Krzesowiak holds high academic standards and expectations for all students; ranging from students with cognitive deficits to those achieving at an advanced level. Students that have the privilege of taking her courses continuously demonstrate success due to her ability to develop and sustain valuable relationships with her students, Their trust in her creates a desire amongst her students to perform at their highest potential and meet her ever increasing demands. Asa colleague, Ms. Krzesowiak has consistently demonstrated reliability and a willingness to lead and help all of her colleagues within the Social Studies department. In her first year, she took the lead in creating an outstanding curriculum for our World History and Honors World History courses. Since completing that she has heen assigned as the first head of the World History Professional Learning Community. Her tireless effort has paid off by fostering effective collaboration that has boosted student achievement across all World History classes. Ms. Krzesowiak has also helped develop rigorous curriculum and assessments for the U.S. History and U.S. Government courses. Her ability to write quality, authentic assessments is one of her strongest qualities in teaching as they challenge students to demonstrate their learning in creative ways, applicable to students both in and out of the classroom. Ms. Krzesowiak is extremely professional, courteous and collaborative. She works well with co- workers, developing collaborative relationships and fostering mutual respect. Ms. Krzesowiak will often put forth a great deal more effort and time than is required so that her students and fellow teachers experience success.
