Dear Parents,
Im glad that everyone made it safely back to school after Spring
Break. I hope everyone was able to relax and enjoy their time off! This
year is flying by. We only have seven weeks left.
We are making great gains as the end of the year is approaching.
End of the year DIBELS testing is around the corner. Please continue
to have your child read nonsense words to you as well as telling them a
word and having them tell you all the sounds they hear in words (for
example sat /s/ /a/ /t/).
As we approach the end of the year, in preparation for first
grade we will begin to have spelling tests on Fridays. These tests will
consist of sight words and the phonics lesson of the week (we will be
working with long vowels until the end of the year).
