Thank you for volunteering

your time!!

You have ben asked to judge the public speaking phase of the Graduation Project, using the
public speaking scoring guide and rubric.!

Each student is required to speak approximately 8mins and 30secs, allowing time for Judge
questions and response, on his/her topic resulting in a ten to fifteen minute presentation. In some
form, he/she should address the following issues:!

1. What was the subject of the research paper?!
!
2. What was the subject of the physical project/product?!
!
3. What work was done with the mentor and how did it affect the project/product?!
!
4. What was the connection between the paper and the project/product?!
!
5. What was the Stretch for the student? That is, what did he/she learn or do that was not!
!
known or done before?!
!
6. Are there any applications for the future from this project?!

Please select one judge to be the official time keeper, you may use your phone or a stopwatch will
provided for completion of this task. Please Note: Videos used as visual aid are not to exceed 3mins
and 30secs. The official time must be recorded on each of the judges scoring rubrics. Presentation
time is complete before Judge questioning. End time if the complete time student presented and
discussed their project.

If the student runs into technical difficulties, please inform a SRHS staff member as soon as possible.
Someone should be in the hall at all times if a problem occurs.

In respect for the student, we ask that you refrain from distractions (ie. texting,cell phone use, etc).
