LEUKEMIA.
Is the most common type of blood
cancer.
The body produces large number of
abnormal and immature blood cells.
Can be of different types depending
on the specific blood cells they
effect.
Although a blood cancer, it also
effects different organs of the body
as it progresses.
LYMPHOMA
Group of blood cancers that effect
the lymphatic system.
Lymphatic system is the part of the
bodys immune system, in other
words the defense system of the
body
Around 628,415 people are living
now who were diagnosed with
lymphoma and are in their remission
state.
MULTIPLE MYELOMA.
Is a cancer that effect the plasma
cells.
Plasma cells live in the bone marrow
and make antibodies which help fight
certain infections.
Causes the cells to infiltrate the bone
marrow and go into other major
bones in the body.
This causes the bones have holes in
them and make them fragile.
INVENTIONS.
Arsenic was used to cure leukemia at the very
first.
Around 1897 radiation therapy came into play.
They found that x-rays can be used to treat
blood cancer.
Then came in chemotherapy. Which exposed
the patient to mustered gas.
Then the latest was DNA which led us to
understand blood cancer more and fight it as
effectively as possible.
AWARENESS AND
PREVENTION
Too much exposure to radiation
might cause blood cancer.
Exposure to certain chemicals also
can cause blood cancer. (pesticides,
benzene and so on)
A healthy diet and regular exercise
can reduce the risk of blood cancer
by a lot.
CONCLUSION.
All in all blood cancer in a deadly
disease which has been with us for a
long time. Getting proper treatment
can easily reduce the death rate
caused by this disease. We also need
to get a proper treatment for this
disease. And create awareness about
what can cause blood cancer and
how we can prevent it.
