-1PASSIVE MOBILIZATION EXERCISES

Upper limb
1) Finger flexion /extension

5) Shoulder: Flexion/Extension

Fold the patients fingers into a fist. Straighten


out the patients fingers and spread then apart
Repeat ________ times.

Hold the arm at the elbow. Lift the arm straight up


toward the ear. Keeping the elbow straight.
Repeat ______ times.

6)Shoulder: Abduction/Adduction

Wrist flexion /extension

Hold the arm at the elbow and the side away from the
body .Bring the arm up toward the ear. Keeping the elbow
straight.
Repeat_________ times.

With the fingers straight, bend


the wrist backward
and the forward.
Repeat _____ times.

3) Elbow: Flexion/Extension
Hold the arm at the elbow and the wrist Bend the elbow
toward the shoulder and then completely straighten
the elbow.
Repeat _____ times.

4)Pronation / Supination
Hold the arm above the wrist and at the elbow.
Bend the elbow until it is half way to the shoulder.
Turn the forearm until the palm of the hand faces
the patient. Then turn the forearm until the back
of the hand faces the patient.
Repeat ______ times..

Lower limb
7) Toes Flexion/ Extension
Bend and straighten each toes 5 times
Repeat ________ times

11) Hips and Knee Flexion/Extension

8) Foot Eversion /Inversion

12) Hamstring Stretching

Grasp both sides of the patients foot with your hands.


Push down on one side while pulling up on the other.
Reverse the motion
Repeat _________ times

While the foot and ankle resting on your shoulder, place the
kneecap to keep the leg straight. Raise the leg straight up is
at a 90 degree angle from the hips. Keep hips and knee
straight.
Repeat ____ times.

Raise the leg, allowing the hip and knee to bend.


Gentle the chest while holding the other leg straight.
Repeat _______ times.

9) Ankle Dosiflexion /Planterflexion

13) Hip Abduction /Adduction

Start with the patient is lying face up. Place one hand
under the patients heel & the other on the upper
surface of the foot, at the ankle joint. Using your wrist
& forearm,pull the back the patients foot to the calf.
Relax, then gently push the patients foot down.
Repeat _________ times.

With one hand over the ankle and one hand under the knee
straight out to the side and then back in. Keep the straight.
Repeat _________ times

10)Stretching of the Tendo-Achilles

14) Hip Internal /External Rotation

Hold the heel of the foot firmly in your hand. Support


the rest of the foot with your forearm.
Slowly push back the foot for a firm stretch.
Hold the stretch for 20 seconds.
Repeat _____times.

Keep the leg flat on the bed. Hold the leg above the knee
and roll the leg in and out.
Repeat ______times.
