Materials/Necessary Preparation:

Book-Trick or Treat by Melanie Walsh


Big plastic tub, bag of play sand, corn starch, water, pumpkin pie spice, orange food
color, measuring cups, wipes, plastic pumpkins, spiders, balls, and paper towels.

Children may not want participate in the activity because they dont like the texture
of it. Children will be given the choice to participate in the activity or sit and watch
the other children.

respond to the pictures in the book. After the story the children will be invited to the
table one at a time where we will have the imprudence and materials to make the
