    3710 Reflection Social Problem Benchmark Assignment

    This assignment was designed to enhance knowledge base in regards to U.S. policies. I
    choose to do my research on the social problem involving prescription drug abuse.
    Through the research process I was able to analyze, formulate, and advocate for
    policies that advance social well-being (competency 2.1.6). And with that knowledge
    gained and analysis put to practice I am now able to be aware and advocate for human
    rights and social justice (competency 2.1.5). This assignment offered me the opportunity
    to investigate the issues involved in the history of social welfare policies and gain an
    understanding of these issues so that I can advocate for change.
