Year 10 took majority of the surveys
Conclusions:
We are probably be going to sell hot chips at the market day. Considering people are
going to bring around $10 on average we will make sure we make our hot meal a
reasonable but profitable price. We will advertise our product with posters around
school boards with bright colours that connect with what we are going to sell. This will
catch peoples attention and they will want to buy our product. We will most likely
include extras as people do want meal deals that include soft drinks. If the average
price people want to pay for a single hot chips is $2-$4 we will most likely make it in
between at $3.50 and if some dont sell towards the end we may make it $2.50. We
could have prices for a large size and a small sized scoop of chips.
General conclusions:
Many people shop at Market Day as we had 34 surveys taken and they all wanted to
go to the Year 10 Market Day. The majority of people who took the surveys were Year
10s but they varied from Year 6 to Year 10 students. People are going to spend about
$10 at the market day for a range of products. They may shop for drinks, sweet food,
savoury food, cold food, hot food, and other goods. The younger students tend to go
for sweeter food whereas older students tend to go for hot savoury food for their
lunch. When people are shopping for food at the market day they are probably going
to want to pay an affordable price, cheaper than the tuck shop and buy original food
that cannot be sold at the school such as nachos. When we sell our product we need
to make sure it is appealing to everyone so they will want to buy our product. We
need to advertise well. Most people prefer posters as an advertising material and we
can easily make an eye-catching poster on our laptops. The marketing director is in

charge of advertisement and making sure we as a business can lure people in to buy
our product. Generally the weather doesnt bother people when it comes to buying
hot savoury food but usually people are more likely to buy hot food first. People like
eating hot savoury food with cold soft drinks such as coca cola or sprite because it
refreshes them. Deals are quite popular but people want them to be at a good price
which means we have to make sure we buy cheap but good quality products from the
super market and then be able to make a profit out of it. We can also get sponsorships
which will help with the budget that we have which is $10 per person in our business
which in total makes $40. People tend to have high expectations so we need to make
sure everything is up to standard such as have tomato sauce or other sides at the
ready. We also need to make sure our packaging and our stall is very appealing and
pretty. It also needs to be big and bold so it will catch peoples attention and then
there will be more buyers. We have to work productively if there are a lot of
customers. We could have 2 lines going at once and hygiene is important therefore we
must wash our hands or use disposable gloves to ensure everything is clean and no
germs are spread. Specific people will have to handle the food and the money.
