Stripping the wires prior to installation: Installing one parking assist: Separate white and white/black Wires and strip 7/16" (11 mm) of insulation from parking assist wires. Installing two parking assists: Cut 6° (15 cm) of wires trom the end of one set of parking assist wires for use as connection ‘wires. Separate white and whiterblack wires and strip 7/16" (11mm) of insulation from both ends of eonnection wire. 5. Connecting the wires to garage door opener: Installing one parking assist: Twist lke colored wires for Parking assist and safety sensors together. Insert twisted wires, into quick-connect holes: white to white and white/black to grey (Figure 2).* Installing two parking assists: Separate white and white/black Wites and strip 7/16" (11 mm) of insulation trom the end of parking assist wires. SET UP AND ADJUSTMENT 1. Drive your vehicle into garage and park in the desired location. 2. Activate the parking assist by obstructing the path of the safety sensors, The laser will emit a pulsing bright red beam (Figure 4). ‘Aim tha red beam to a location on the dash or hood that can ‘easly be seen while seated in the driver's seat NOTE: The laser wil shut off in 1 minute. If you are not finished ‘dfusting the beam and it ums off, simply obstruct the path of the safety sensors. 3. Sitin the divers seat and confirm that you can easily see the location of the red beam. This location is now your point of reference for parking your vehicle. CAUTION: Do not stare directly into the beam. Open the garage door by activating the garage door opener and dive your vehicle into parking space. 2. Pullthe belt around the idler pulley and toward the trolley. The ribbed side must contact the pulley. 2. Hook the trolley connector into the retaining slot on the trolley as shown, 3. With the trolley against the screwdriver, dispense the remainder ofthe bett along the rail length toward the motor unit and around the sprocket. The sprocket teeth must engage the bet 4, Check to make sure the belts not twisted. Connect the trolley threaded shaft with the master link, as ilustrate: + Push pins of master link bar through holes in end of belt and trolley threaded shat + Push master link cap over pins and past pin notches. + Slide clip-on spring over cap and onto pin notches until both pins are securely locked in place. Remove the spring trolley nut from the threaded shaft. Insert the trolley threaded shaft through the hole in the trolley. Be sure the elt isnot twisted. ASSEMBLY STEP 5 Tighten the belt and attach the sprocket cover 1, By hand, thread the spring trolley nut on the threaded shaft until itis finger tight against the trolley. Do not use any tools. Remove the screwdriver. 2. Insert a flathead screwdriver tip into one of the nut ring slots and brace it firmly against the trolley. 3. Tighten the spring trolley nut with an adjustable wrench or a 7/16" open end wrench about a quarter turn until the spring releases and snaps the nut ring against the trolley. This sets the spring to optimum belt tension. This sets the spring to ‘optimum belt tension. 4. Position the sprocket cover over the motor unit sprocket and fasten to the mounting plate with 8x3/8" hex screws provided. You have now finished assembling your garage door opener.
