Annotated Source List
"Advantages and Limitations of Laser Dentistry." Advantages and Limitations of Lasers (2008):
1-2. Academy of Laser Dentistry. Web. 10 Oct. 2014.
This is a journal article regarding the positives and negatives that come along
with laser dentistry. Information about its function and usage is included. However, the
disadvantages are also listed. An outstanding point was made when the writer included
information about the laser itself; while it does verify that lasers get rid of bacteria, it
mentions that not all dentists are willing to use lasers because they may burn the gum
line. The complications that come along with this procedure are not worth the usage. The
paper was originally written as a letter by The Laser Academy to include with the laser
machines but was eventually published as a journal article.
This paper is useful because it explains both sides to this modern technology that
is expanding nationwide. It supports the research regarding modern technology and its
effects on patients and doctors. It would make a great counter argument for how
technology does not always benefit people even though it has many aspcts that make it
better than previous methods used.
Berberich, Steve. "News at UMB." UMB News. University of Maryland School of Dentistry, 21
Mar. 2013. Web. 9 Sept. 2014.
This source is an article explaining the invention of fillers that remineralize teeth
and kill bacteria. Professor Xu is the man behind this science and his work is explained
in this paper. Although it is not very detailed on how this filler came to be, there is a
massive amount of detail on how beneficial and stress relieving it is for patients. The
ingredients along with the life expectancy of the filler is explained as well. There is
ongoing research present with the filler and that is only because it is too expensive to
manufacture to dentists around the world. Currently, University of Maryland and Johns
Hopkins University are the only two research facilities working on this phenomena.
Overall, this is modern research done to benefit the dental industry.
This supports the idea of patient ease with the use of technology. It also provides a
modern view on how past inventions can be improved easily (sometimes even
accidentally). The author has provided contact information in case of questions and
additional information. All in all, this source can be used to show ongoing research that
is being done to better dental materials.
"A Comparison of Two Psychometric Instruments." National Center for Biotechnology
Information. U.S. National Library of Medicine, n.d. Web. 15 Jan. 2015.
This is a scholarly paper from 2010 that summarizes the fear of children
from dental. The main reason for the article being published is its pyschological
analysis.
This paper can count for the disadvantage of modern dental technology. It
rationalizes fear growth is a result of dental complexity. This paper could help with

the final product and the research paper to support that modern technology does
have disadvantages not just for dentists but also for patients.
"Dental Health Imaging, Jobs, Education & Resources." Dental Health Imaging Hub News.
Dental News and Education, 31 Dec. 2010. Web. 20 Nov. 2014.
This journal article had information arguing panoramic x-rays should be
replaced with CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) scans. Basic facts are giving
about both machines but the most important thing is the picture that is included in the
article. It is of a human skull shown in 3D form which is evident it is from a CBCT scan.
This is significant because the picture can be used for multiple different parts of
the overall project. The presentation would benefit from this picture and it would be a
nice touch to the final product website. This is only for the purpose of pictures.
"Dr. Hornbrook SonicFill Dental Composite Procedure 5 Min Video." Prod. UF
College fo Dentistry. YouTube. YouTube, 12. Jul. 2012. Web. 06 Oct. 2014.
This is a video regarding the new method of tooth fillings. It starts with a basic
introduction to what ingredients are in the composite formula. It is basically chemicals
and nail polish remover and chemicals such as fluoride and more. The main focus is on
the use and quickness of the formula. The ultralight and the composite are main focuses.
In addition to the use of composite, they talked about the metal fillings too. Current
dentists have to replace them with composite. They are not as sturdy but more
fashionable to have. The most significant thing is that it is very descriptive and detailed.
It focuses on the ease that it has brought for patients and doctors.
The basic point of the video is the teach the basics of composite, and to
familiarize patients with its positive aspects. It is especially beneficial as to the specific
names of the companies contributing to the perfection of the product. It helps finding
other websites for future annotations but it also generalized composite so it would be
easier to understand when Dr. Pareja uses it.
"Evolving Dental Care: The EVOLVE Toothbrush." The Dental Geek. N.p., 15 Aug.
2014. Web. 11 Dec. 2014.
This is a blog page supported by Dental Geeks. They ask the opinions of
dentists regarding certain topics, post them, and await responses from other dentists. It
is mainly designed for dentists to be aware of what is evolving around them. This
specific article is about EVOLVE toothbrush. Instead of one head, it has three: one for
top and two for sides. It is a newer piece of equipment under testing but it asked the
opinion of dentists for which it got support.
The most beneficial thing about this blog is that it is not public for
everyone to comment. When the signup page is filled, aa certificate of dentistry is
needed to access the commenting option. Because of its exclusive manner the
information shares is more reliable. Most of the information is bias (to some degree)
but it is updated everyday introducing all the equipment to those who are members.
"General Dentistry." Preferred Dental Care Center RSS. N.p., n.d. Web. 22 Oct. 2013.
This is a personalized doctors website as a commercial with its main purpose
being to attract patients. Every kind of tooth form and decay is described. All of the age
groups and the possible approaches towards their problems are described in detail. The

materials used are described and all of the procedures are described. Brutal but true all of
the possible side effects are included. The doctor also has pages on different machines
and technology involved in his office, he even has pictures to show all of the steps in the
procedure. It also has a blog page where patients can talk to each other or the doctors to
discuss the process together. It has a friendly feel as if the patient is family even though
everything is out there for them to read. The doctors office is currently in Oregon.
The most beneficial thing about the website is the fact that all the patients
describe their symptoms in the blog section. Each person has a different reaction and it is
just interesting to see the common cases. Overall, the information is relevant to the
project for all the questions about little details in the process are described. The
information could help in the final write up for all of the critical points of a root canal are
included. There are twenty pages so read review before actual usage to find the desired
information. The good thing is most of the cases are similar to the ones seen in the office
(how many cases are there really so its fun to see other approaches).
Ghozati, Shadi. Personal interview. 1 December 2014.
This is a personal interview conducted with Dr. Ghozati regarding general
dentistry. Her opinion on the changes that have occurred. She owns the new Sirona and
CREC along with the newest model of the CBCT scan. The interview was about 20
minutes and it does not necessarily focus on advantages and disadvantages, but rather the
usage and training that is put in place to use the machines. There was a lot about how
people react to the machines.
Although it was an interview that had very important information, it does not go
along with the research as well as it was meant to. Dr. Ghozati had to use both machines
simultaneously which made the interview much faster. The machines were very new and
similar to those of the older models from 2012.
"Hidden Histories: Dentistry." YouTube. Archaeosoup Productions, 1 Mar. 2013. Web. 30 Oct.
2014.
This is historical video of origins of dentistry. It is a 13 minute video of how
dentistry came to be throughout the world. It is a great source to reference and show
that technology has advanced at very high speeds.
"How to Edit Video in Photoshop CS6." YouTube. Matthew Gore, 25 May 2012. Web. 17 Dec.
2014.
This is a video that thoroughly explains the making of a video through the
Photoshop software. The software is introduced along with a brief explanation of what its
capabilities are. Later the narrator shows a video of a flower and edits it in various ways
to how the function of the software.
The most beneficial thing is the fact that almost all the editing function are
explained. It is brief and to the point, as the whole video only takes 11 minutes. The only
problem is how fast the narrator talks. He works fairly slow but what he says is fast
paced. The software is simple and available to use. This video is more focused on editing
rather than making.
""How to Edit Video's" in "CyberLink PowerDirector"" YouTube. Jordan Kingston, 24 Feb.
2011. Web. 15 Dec. 2014.

This is a youtube video based on a handbook explaining the use of CyberLink

PowerDirector. This program is briefly explained and a short video/film is made by the
end. The video made is made by using pictures; picture over another and finally words on
the pictures. All major aspects are explained.
This video is less thorough and a bit more professional than the Photoshop video.
With that said, it is more likely to be used for a dental presentation video for awareness.
The only problem with the video is the narrators accent is a little hard to understand.
"Immediate Dental Implant Surgery - Dr Scott MacLean." YouTube. Scott MacLean, 2 Feb.
2011. Web. 30 Oct. 2014.
This video does a quick summary on how Dr. Scott MacLean approaches
extractions and implants. His explanation for the procedure is step by step. Each step that
gets done is followed by an x-ray which makes his work reliable. This is a biased video
that the dentist made to advertise his work but at the same time familiarize the public
with the advancements of technology.
"Keystone Industries Acquires The Harry J. Bosworth Company." Welcome to
Keystone
Industries. N.p., n.d. Web. 11 Dec. 2014.
This is a website for KeyStone Industry. They sell dental equipment and they
are the older, more traditional company. They are manufacturers of dental supplies such
as gutta percha, impression doughs, and flipper teeth.
The main page is the most vital as they have contact information of the manager
which can help to contact them for information regarding their equipment and
technological machines. There is a list of twelve people and out of them one of them
should respond.
Lennox, John, M.D."Dental Biofilms: Detection and Quantification of Plaque."
Montana State University: BioFilms. Montana State University, 2013. Web. 20 Oct.
2014.
This is an article written by a biochemist who happened to study the
usage of disclosing tablets used in dental offices. The tablet is a dye dentists use to
locate plaque on teeth and around the gumline. This is an article he provided for his
students to show the science behind it. Although it does not use machines, it is modern
technology because it allows patients to see the places they miss when brushing. One
interesting fact about the dye is that it colors older plaque darker and newer ones a
lighter color. It can easily be brushed off without leaving foul odors or tastes inside the
mouth. It is an unbiased source relying on science and plain data.
This article is useful because of its simplicity. It has a page for teachers and a
separate one for students, which is especially useful. The student side has pictures and
more definitions while the teacher side includes more vocabulary. Overall, this is
beneficial towards the project because of its simplicity and usefulness in offices. It is
used for all ages because of its tastelessness. Unlike fluoride it is not harmful to
swallow-although not recommended- so kids are also likely to use it.
Mccready, Zach. "Is Hypnosis an Appropriate Conjunctive Treatment for Dental
Phobia?" Is Hypnosis an Appropriate Conjunctive Treatment for Dental Phobia?

(n.d.): n. pag. South Dakota State University. The Department of Psychology, 2007.
Web. 3 Dec. 2014.
This is a journal article regarding phobias of dental machines. Although
it is more focused on the psychology behind the fears, it names almost all of the
modern dental machines.
This paper has not been published but rather it is a hypothesis because it is
missing some information essential for the psychology aspect. With that said, it is
great for a dental intern. There are no pictures but rather charts of how kids react to
different things in the office: suctions, x-rays, lasers (gum cleaners), the x-ray bibs,
etc.
Michel, D.M.D. "Why Should I Have a Panoramic X-Ray?" By the Sea Dentistry:
Christoph Michel. Christoph Michel, 18 Oct. 2014. Web. 20 Oct. 2014.
This is a blog post made by a dentist to inform his patients about the
different types of xrays he may need for their procedures. Although it seems like an
advertisement for his office, it includes useful information about different xray formsbitewings, peripherals, and pandemics. Details are included to inform patients about
the radiation levels they have to be exposed to during the procedures. Along with that,
the difference between the three forms of xrays are explained. Bitewing shows both
top and bottom of the mouth but only a limited section, peripheral only one section
(either top OR bottom), whereas panoramic shows all of the teeth along with chin and
nose. It is heavily focused on the positives of panoramic and its benefits to the dentist.
This is a beneficial website in that example pictures of all three types of
xrays are included. Most websites include pictures with no labels or captions, but in
this website all of the pictures are labeled and explained thoroughly. It is greatly
beneficial in that it helps differentiate between the three types of pictures and also
understand the negatives and positives they have for both the patients and dentists.
"Nitrous Oxide." Nitrous Oxide. Columbia University: College of Dental Medicine, 12 May
2014. Web. 11 Nov. 2014.
This is a website going over all the facts about Nitrous Oxide ot funny gas used in
dental offices. It has its positives and its negatives. Although they seem too extreme they
show the reality that may be present if misused. Mainly used in kids and toddlers to calm
them during the procedures, other ways of usages( ex.extraction and dental surgery) are
also mentioned. The main concern mentioned with the gas is its side effects which
include anxiety and dizziness.
This website is informatic in short length. It is almost like a disease symptom
page with everything listed in bullets and short explanations. It can really be helpful with
the presentation as an opener or in the final product website(?). Overall, it is a website
that lists important facts about N2O in specific detail in short terms.
"Operative Instruments." YouTube., 22 Aug 2013. Web. 06 Oct. 2014.
This is a video of a dentist explaining the instruments he uses in his office and the
specific uses he has for them. He also explains when and how a hygienist should prepare
the instruments for the dentist. The most significant thing is that he shows the instruments
and then uses a prerecording of a video he has of a patient on whom he used the
instruments on. While the video is playing, he explains the important thing that should be

understood when using each of the instruments. One specific example would be the
explorer, since it has two sides with very sharp points, so his advice is to have a cotton
roll in hand to prevent it from poking skin. There are over 20 instruments that are listed
and explained in 15 minutes. There is also a second video that explains 20 more
instruments.
The video is especially beneficial as to it names almost all of the instruments in a
general dental office. It helps with the comprehension of the uses of each specific
instrument. Although not in great detail, there is a quick history of where and how the
instrument came to be. The most beneficial thing is understanding the hygiene
instruments and their uses so they can be used in personal experiences.
Pareja, Ximena. Personal interview. 21 October 2014.
This is a personal interview conducted face to face with pediatrics dentist, Dr.
Pareja. Her opinion on modern technology, how cost effective they are, how they affect
the dentists, and also how they help patients overall. The interview is overall 15 minutes
but to the point. Everything is defined clearly. Names of machines and methods are also
mentioned. She used multiple different examples of how patients benefit from the
technology: they can send in pictures of accidents, they have records that they can share
with their dentists online. Because she is in the environment on a daily basis she comes
across new things that can help with the research plan.
Overall, this source is one of the more beneficial ones. It is done in person and it
can be added to because Dr. Pareja is a great mentor with a lot of patience. She has
agreed to answer more questions and send any interesting information that she comes
across. All in all, it can be used for the oral presentation to quote a professional.
R. Adam. In-Vivo And In-Vitro Plaque Removal Efficacy Of Two Brush Heads. Dental
Care Research. DentalCare.com, 2010. Web. 23 Sept. 2014.
This journal article focuses on research done regarding different mechanical
toothbrushes for different age groups. It compares brushing with hand to brushing with
multiple different types of mechanical toothbrushes for which the results always favor the
mechanicals. Via an in-vitro robot study and a randomized clinical trial, different toothbrush
heads were compared finalizing that Results were confirmed in-vitro via a significant
difference for whole mouth and a directional advantage in proximal regions. Graphs and
data are included with the article. As a bonus there is a link connected to the trial videos
provided. The robot would brush and a scan would show where the most plaque-covered
regions were.
This supports the idea of technology bringing ease for patients. The intentions behind
this information was to prove manual work would not be as beneficial and a technological
brush. It is biased as to the Oral B Health company logo is all over the article, however, that
does not change the results present. This information can be included in patient use of
technology at home.
R. E. Adam, T. Bubenicek, H. Timm, and F. Grimm. "Study Design to Differentiate
Plaque-Removal Properties of O/R Power Brushes." Study Design to Differentiate
Plaque-Removal Properties of O/R Power Brushes 797. Dental Care Research.
DentalCare.com, 2011. Web. 23 Sept. 2014.

This is an article discussing the notion of plaque removal efficacy of two

oscillating-rotating rechargeable power toothbrushes. It is a continuation of In-Vivo
And In-Vitro Plaque Removal Efficacy Of Two Brush Heads. Dental Care Research
with more extensive previews on the movements and design flaws of mechanical
brushes. The newer versions of the toothbrush heads were tested and confirmed to have
been better than manual brushes. The emphasis on kids using the brush is present as
well. The significance of the journal article is that it portrays a modern and realistic
version of brushing, testing the value of manual brushing.
This article supports the idea behind technology bringing ease for patients and
also improving the nature of dentistry. It is unbiased and a newer research topic that
appeals to patients and doctors. It can be used for the final product and also the final
research project write out. There is valuable technological devices used that can be
researched and also information that is beneficial to the subject.
Ranft, Lesley, and Summer Lench, DDS. "Dental Technologies: The Leading Edge of
Dental Care." Dental Technologies. 2006-2014. Web. 29 Sept. 2014.
This is a website with the most advanced technology used in the dental offices.
The main objective of this website is to promote the new and modern view of a dental
office to patients who happen to be fearful of the dentist. The function of the machines,
along with the amount of interference with their personal spaces, is also explained. The
website provides links to each different device that includes detailed explanations and
also pictures. It is most beneficial for learning the machine names around the office.
There is also a time line for which it is explained when the machines was made, used, and
outdated (in some cases) which makes it even more user friendly.
The most beneficial thing about the list is that it is modern and continuously has
been updated since 2006. It is also in alphabetical order which helps locate machines
easily. It can be used for the final product and also the final research project write out.
There is valuable technological devices used that can be researched and also information
that is beneficial to the subject. The list can even be used to recognize devices used in Dr.
Pareja office.
"Result Filters." National Center for Biotechnology Information. U.S. National Library of
Medicine, 2010. Web. 17 Sept. 2014.
Teeth are complex sensory organ and this journal article explains the technology
supporting dental decisions dentists or endodontics make on a daily basis. The main idea
of the paper is to prove that with microscopes and angled radiographs shape, size, and
placement of roots can be determined. Its other point is to show that there are a variety of
treatments that can be used to treat each roots problem/infection. Although the article
emphasizes that the prior knowledge of the tooth anatomy is essential, CBCT scans and
CrownWorx are also needed for the maximum positive results. Overall, this article is
designed to emphasize the modern influences of technology in today's dental work.
This supports the idea that technology brings ease to users, patients, and dentists.
It provides a new generation point of view for new dentists to see the ease that they are
provided through technology. Since it is a scholarly paper it is reliable source and can be
used as a source for the final product. It is a scholarly journal article so it is a bit harder to
read however the pictures and footnotes help understand the paper better. This paper can
be used to show the influences of technology to ease and confirm the dentists choices.

"Result Filters." National Center for Biotechnology Information. U.S. National Library of
Medicine, 2011. Web. 17 Sept. 2014.
This is a journal article regarding the CBCT scan used with root canals. The
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) takes 3-dimensional images of teeth in high
resolution. This supports the idea that microscopes and regular x-rays are not enough
when it comes to fixing the root of the tooth. There could be canals or abscesses missed
without the use of CBCT scans, however, with them, almost anything that is present
inside the jaw, becomes present. Overall, this paper provides in depth perspectives about
the use of the 3-D machine and its positive results. There are charts and multiple surveys
included within the paper which can be used for statistical research.
This supports the idea of technology and the ease or security it brings for patients
and doctors. It also provides other sources regarding the issue which allows further
research. Since it is a scholarly paper, it provides unbiased and accurate information
regarding the topics. It is a longer piece of reading so it requires a lot of time.
"Result Filters." National Center for Biotechnology Information. U.S. National Library of
Medicine, 30 Sept. 2014. Web. 30 Oct. 2014.
This is a journal article about bacteria that develop through plaque. These
bacteria can produce H2S which causes severe damage to the gum line and also the lungs,
This article advocates the use of sealants to prevent bacterial damages.
"Sealants." YouTube. Ruth Thompson, 18 May 2013. Web. 30 Oct. 2014.
This is a video of a child getting sealants on her molars. This is an extension to
dental textbooks for new dentists and hygienists. It explains the techniques required
during the procedure along with a short explanation of why they should happen.
"Second VELscope Donated to IU Dental School by LED Dental, Inc." Indiana
University School of Dentistry ::. N.p., 30 Apr. 2012. Web. 04 Dec. 2014.
This is a website promoting which cleans the gum with lasers in order to
detect oral cancer. The main focus of the website is showing how many cases it has
prevented from going to the extreme. There are many pictures which would be great
for the final product.
The pictures are graphic however there is a section that has more family
friendly pictures. The use of the machine is shown through a video and there are
various pros and cons listed on the website regarding VELscope.
"Sirona - The Dental Company." CEREC Chairside Solutions. Sirona The Dental
Company. Web. 9 Sept. 2014.
This is a web page displaying the purpose of Sirona and CEREC. The step by
step usage and benefits of the machine are listed with bullets and pictures. It lists the
positives, for example: making a crown in 20 min.s+ , but the negatives of the machine
are also liste. For example: shorter wires, smaller 3D views, and small water pumps and
high risk of overflow. With all of the facts being mentioned this article becomes unbiased.

In addition, there are also online courses that can be used to get familiarized with using
the screen and informing the patients about the function of the machine. Most of their
components are exclusive to paying dentists only, but the information that can be used for
research is left on their public page. There are also weekly updates on each article as they
modify each part of the machine. Overall, this is a website designed to advertise a great
new technological advancement within the dental community.
This supports the idea of technology bringing ease to patients at the dental office
and reducing their stress. Extensive insight provided on what could be used at internship
in case there is a need for a crown. It is a great source because the company also
manufactures other machines.
"Spring Hill FL Dentist, Spring Hill Family Dentist, Dentist 34610 - Fun Dental Facts." Spring
Hill FL Dentist, Spring Hill Family Dentist, Dentist 34610 - Fun Dental Facts. N.p.,
n.d. Web. 11 Nov. 2014.
This is a website that lists interesting facts about dentistry. It is from a dental
office to inform their patients about dental facts but also to advertise their office. It is
under their Did You Know section which has some great notes. There are 30 facts listed
which include statistics and also data from the surveys in the US.
Overall, this can be treated as a Fun Facts section for the presentation/ the
attention grabber. It can also be beneficial towards the final product. There are links to
other facts gathered but these are the 30 that stand out the most. They are in a bullet list
which makes it easy to read.
Stratton, Russell J., and Frank J. Wiebelt. "Chapter 7." An Atlas of Removable Partial Denture
Design. Chicago: Quintessence Pub., 1988. 73-75. Print.
This is a book on denture designs. Dentures are the models dentists use to show
the mouth models to patients in 3D form. It goes in depth with how a mouth should be
prepared to make the model for the future. The tooth numbers and model materials are
listed. It is a textbook used in dental colleges; it is older but it is still widely used because
the material has not changed. It is a total of 312 pages with different cases that have
occurred over the years. The main thing that could help the project is the materials used
for making the dentures or mouth models.
Although this is what has to be used in dental school and it has great detail on
dentures and dental models, it does not serve purpose to technology. It is interesting
because this model is used in all types of dental offices and it is good to know about
them. It can be used for the historical aspect of the project.
"The Effective Dentist: Motivational Interviewing Demonstration." YouTube. MerloLab, 24 Nov.
2009. Web. 30 Oct. 2014.
This is a video on being a proactive dental assistant. It helps with knowing what
to answer parents and kids when they ask questions. Although it does not come up often
at internship it is good to have some knowledge about it.
"Tools & Technology: 31-9091.00 - Dental Assistants." Tools & Technology: 319091.00 - Dental Assistants. Web. 29 Sept. 2014.
This is a website that contains a list of tools and technology used in the dental
world. The names are listed in alphabetical order along with cyberlinks that take viewer

to a picture and also a description of the object. It is more detailed and specific than The
Leading Edge of Dental Care, making it more useful. Although it is specific, the
information is not as modern. The last update was in 2011, and since there have been so
many accomplishments. The names are alphabetical and categorized by branch of
dentistry. The most beneficial thing is that it includes a mechanical point of view as well.
That means it also explains how the machines were made and what type of equipment are
used.
This is most useful because it has specific details on each machine used in a
dental office. It includes no information that would suggest there is advertisement
involved, and it does not display favoritism towards any machines. The information is
useful towards learning the names of the machines around the dental office. It can be
used in the final product writeup and also around the office.
"Welcome to Our Safari!" Pediatric Dentist in Columbia, Ellicott City, Fort Meade,
MD. N.p., n.d. Web. 20 Nov. 2014.
This is Dr. Parejas website which helps with basic information about the office
and the tasks assigned to the crew in the office. The basic facts are explained in simple
terms and pictures are provided.
This information is beneficial towards everyday tasks but it also helps with the
wording of things for the presentation. The pictures along with the names of the machines
and procedures are provided to help provide even more information.
"Zoom Tooth Whitening: Advantages and Considerations." Boston Dental Design: General
Cosmetic Dentistry. Boston Dental Design, 2011. Web. 10 Oct. 2014.
This is a website that explains the considerations and benefits of Zoom!. Zoom! is
a tooth whitening gel that is inserted into the mouth through a mouthguard and dried with
UV light to make the gel last for a long period of time. This website gives an introduction
of how the gel is used and the advisory that comes along with it. Although it does have
satisfying results for a month, it has negative effects if used continuously in close
intervals. The gel has over 75% hydrogen peroxide and around 25% fluoride. The gel is
left on the teeth for about 20 minutes, which is enough time to cause permanent dental
sensitivity. It is interesting because it is a newer technological advancement, but its
effectiveness is yet to be declared effective.
This website is most definitely useful. It is written by a dentist who uses the
Zoom! product but has taken the time to inform his patients of the possible complications
that come along with it. The information can be used for the counter argument section of
the research: not all advancements are for the best of the patient, just the appearance.
"Dentine Hypersensitivity: Developing a Person-centred Approach to Oral Health." Dental
EBooks RSS. N.p., n.d. Web. 1 Jan. 2015.
This is an ebook regarding hypersensitivity and machines used to treat it. The
book has been used in dental schools to teach about the training needed to use the dental
machines.
The brief summary has been shared with public and the whole book can be
purchased, however, the information needed for the project is in the summary (needed a
special code which was easy to get). It is a great source because it is short and to the
point, just enough to help the project.
