The future will present significant intergenerational policy challenges and

opportunities for economies throughout the region. To name just a few there is
the re-emergence of Asia, rapid demographic change, environmental pressures
and technological advances. These drivers will put additional pressure on the
fiscal sustainability of regional economies and have significant implications for
future economic prosperity throughout the region.
Experts from around the region and the world examine challenges and
opportunities facing Australia and the Asia-Pacific region over coming decades.
The public forum will help inform national, regional and global debate on critical
intergenerational policy issues and the policy strategies needed to help sustain
economic growth and prosperity throughout the region.
