    Easter Egg Hunt Fun!

    A Little About St. Patrick

    Student Council, with the help of sixth grade


    students, participated in an Easter egg hunt with the
    afternoon preschool class. The weather was nice,
    and the kids had lots of fun. I think the preschool
    students enjoyed meeting the Easter bunny. : )

    St. Patrick is one of the


    most popular saints and is
    celebrated on March 17th. He
    was born a Roman Britain in
    the fourth century and
    eventually became a bishop
    in Ireland. His real name is
    Maewyn Succat. He is so
    famous and honored because
    there were a lot of snakes in

    Ireland; the people didnt know
    what to do. God called to Patrick and told him to
    banish all of the snakes. St. Patrick is often shown
    with a three leaf clover because that is the way he
    explained the Holy Trinity.

    Another Successful Living Stations of the Cross Performance

    Last Friday, the sixth grade class, with the help of some fifth grade students, performed the Living
    Stations of the Cross. This Sacred Heart tradition is meant to show students the
    actual stages of Jesus passion. As a school, we reflected on the fact that Jesus went
    through all of it for us and took a few moments to thank him. Have you thanked
    Jesus this Lenten season for what he did for you? On behalf of Sacred Heart
    StuCo, I would like to wish you all a safe, happy Easter. God Bless : )
