The Global Issue

The emissions of greenhouse gases such as CO2
into the atmosphere is causing global warming
Humans are largely responsible for the massive
size of the Earths carbon footprint
Climate change effects everyone and it is
everyone's responsibility to try and reduce their
individual carbon footprint
All it takes is knowledge on the issue and
support from individuals to reduce the impact of
climate change in the future!

Our Local Issue

Austin Texas is one of the fastest growing cities in
the US, making it even more necessary for us to
watch the size of our cities growing carbon footprint
Austin is a leading city in fight against climate
change and the city council has set a goal to
significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and
make Austin the most livable city in the US by 2020
While the city council takes major steps of its own,
the fastest way that we can reach this goal and
make not only Austin, but the rest of the world a
greener place, is by playing our own role and
reducing our individual carbon footprint

Take Action
Our group knew that the
most effective way to take
action was to share our
information with others
We set up a booth at the
farmers market and
passed out brochures filled
with helpful information on
easy ways a person can
reduce their carbon
footprint
We also gave away free
seeds which we knew
would attract peoples
attention and be less likely
to go to waste
