This graph shows the unit as a whole with the pre-assessment and post-assessment
results of each student in the class based on the main unit objective. The students were
very engaged in the unit and participated very well. I do, however, have two students
who do not participate much. One of the students still performs very well but the other
student struggles academically.

Our Anchor Chart [completed as a class]:

Individuals:
It is important to analyze data from a high, average, and low performing student

in order to track their progress. Analyzing data helps with teaching because the
teacher learns how to accommodate each student based on their progress. It also
helps the teacher with preparing lessons and reviews to make sure each student is
retaining information and making adequate progress. If students are not making
progress, the teacher will need to approach the content in a different way for
those students.

Low-Performing Student Data: My low-performing student performs low in all

areas of instruction but does a good job participating in all areas.
Pre-Assessment: The student participated well and gave some answers about
some things already known about weather.
During-Assessment: The student also participated very well and completed
drawing and any cooperative work required. The student also did fairly well on the
water cycle quiz, as the student received a 70%, and attempted to explain the
detailed drawing. [Results below]

Post-Assessment: The student did a great job on the post-assessment, although a

90% was not earned, the student received an 88%. This was a big accomplishment
for this student. [Results below]

Average-Performing Student Data: My average-performing student

participates very well as well. Even if the student is not aware of the correct answer
she shows eagerness by trying to figure out the correct answer. This student is not
afraid to ask or answer questions.
Pre-Assessment: The student answered questions eagerly and appropriately and
sought for the correct answers in the textbook.
During-Assessment: The student demonstrated great participation. The student
did great on the water cycle drawing but did not perform so well on the questions
asked, as the student received a 60%. [Results below]

Post-Assessment: The student received a 100% on the post assessment, which

was a great accomplishment for the student. [Results below]
