My Goals

Emily Morgan

Two short term goals that I want to achieve in the next 1-2 years include passing my
NCLEX and becoming a nurse in a neonatal intensive care unit. These goals are important to me
because I need to pass my boards to become a nurse. I have also found through my internship
that I have a passion for working with premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit and I
cannot imagine myself working anywhere else.
Two long term goals that I want to achieve in the next 4-5 years include establishing
myself as a charge nurse and going back to school for a higher degree. I want to become a charge
nurse in the next 4-5 years because I am always looking for ways to grow and evolve. Leadership
and administrative work interests me. It is important to me to go back to school in the next 4-5
years because I have always wanted to become a Nurse Practitioner. After establishing myself in
my nursing career and gaining experience I look forward to applying for the Doctor of Nursing
Practice degree.
