No more than two pages double-spaced.
Describe a time when you consciously presented yourself falsely to another person. By
presented yourself falsely I dont mean that you simply told a lie but that you presented
yourself as somehow other than what you are. Tell the story of that false representation.
Provide the context. But also, spend at least a few sentences at the end of your paper
considering the implications of what you did. When considering the implications, you
might consider the following questions but should not be constrained by any of them:
--Did you gain something by your presentation of yourself?
--Did you lose something by your presentation of yourself?
--Did the events change you in some way?
--What is the relationship between the false self you constructed and your true self?
--Are the words false and true accurate in describing your misrepresentation of
yourself, or is there something true about your false representation? Might there be
something false about the self you think of as your true self?
--Have your feelings about the events you described changed over time?
