THE BEGINNING OF CREATION

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was
empty, a formless mass cloaked in darkness. And the Spirit of God was hovering
over its surface. "
Genesis 1:1-2.
God always begins creation with a formless, molten mass, cloaked in darkness.
What follows is a process of seperation in which He draws out the treasures He
has hidden in darkness, from the depths of the formless mass.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed
away; behold, all things have become new."
2 Corinthians 5:17.
At the new birth, the life of man that has been ravaged by sin, is like a formless,
molten mass cloaked in darkness.
God then, by His Spirit, begins the life long process of drawing out the treasures
He has hidden in every man that are obscured from our sight by our ignorance
of His word.
""Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?"
Job 38:2.
"I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places,
That you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by your name, Am the God
of Israel."
Isaiah 45:3.
