I am extremely pleased to recommend Liliana Cortes. I have known her for nearly a year,
and during that time I have found her to be a good student and an excellent citizen. I
know her to be, in general, an extremely capable young lady who will certainly accomplish
her goals. I am also confident that she will achieve at a very high academic level in her
college career. Certainly, Liliana is exceedingly bright and highly motivated to succeed.

In taking some very difficult classes, she has maintained a 3.86 grade point
average overall. It is also noteworthy that she has had good attendance
throughout her school career, illustrating her commitment to education. She has
also volunteered community service hours in Los Banos doing graffiti cleanup,
drive through dinners, assisting the elderly in retirement homes, and ringing bells
for the Salvation Army. Ive always admired her tenacity and determination to
succeed in the classroom. Finally, I know that Liliana is anxious to continue her
education beyond high school.
As important is Lilianas outstanding character. She is very mature, and her maturity is
evident in her ability to assume the greater part of the responsibility for planning her
education, establishing her goals, and preparing for college. It is also evident that she is
well liked by her peers. Moreover, Liliana is highly respected by her teachers both for her
abilities and for her spirit of cooperation with others. In addition, she has excellent
manners and is courteous to everyone. It is easy to see why people enjoy her company. It
is clear that she was raised in a family that values honesty, hard work, commitment to
personal improvement, and personal responsibility.
Liliana is truly a fine young lady. She is dedicated to learning and works very hard to
accomplish her goals, both academic and personal. I feel strongly that she is deeply
deserving of any help that may be offered. Therefore, I am very pleased to recommend
Liliana Cortes.
