    Before you submit your experiment project for grading, rate it according to the questions below.
    These questions reflect the criteria that your teacher will use to grade your project. If your own
    ratings are not good, you need to go back and make improvements to your project.
    Criteria: Self-Rating:

    Aim, Prediction and Background Information
    Does your aim describe the all the relevant variables?
    Does your prediction describe all the variables?
    Is the experiment complete with name and date?
    Is your background information relevant and thorough?
    Method
    Does your method include all the equipment needed?
    Was is a fair test?
    Results
    Are your results complete and accurate?
    Are your results clear and well presented?
    Did you choose to use the correct tables, charts, and/or graphs?
    Evaluation and conclusions
    Did you explain your results well?
    Did you identify any patterns?
    Did you discuss your prediction?
    Did you explain what principles your experiment proves?
    Did you discuss if your experiment was a fair test, and if there were
    any ways that the experiment could be improved in the future?
    Information
    How would you rate the accuracy and complexity of the information
    in the background information?
    Is the information in your background information just about the
    topic, or does it include irrelevant information?
    Scientific Language
    How well have you used scientific language?
    Did you take the time to find out and use scientific words, or did you
    just use words you already knew?
    Communication Tools
    How is the spelling and grammar in your experiment?
    Did you use graphs, tables, or images- and are they labeled?
