lived in-between the Tigris and Euphrates
Rivers. What do you think the benefits of living
in this type of geographical area would be?
Would civilizations want to use rivers, if so for
what? Could rivers be dangerous?

you of? What do you think they were for? Do
we have thinks like them today?
3. What is this? List off several things that it
would have been used for. How does our
modern version of this differ from the ancient
one?
4. Based on the pictures and sculptures what
kind of government do you think the ancient
Mesopotamians usually had? Why do you think
this? Use the art as evidence.
5. What do you think these sculptures are
about? What does this kind of artwork say
about a society?
6. Why would a city need walls? In
Mesopotamia there were many cities with
walls. What do you think this says about the
overall area? Are there a lot of city walls today?

would it be used for? Why? Use evidence from
