Greetings Parents of Fifth Graders-

My name is Kate Pagano and I will be student teaching in your child's

classroom over the next few months. I am a teaching resident in Rider
University's graduate-level, teacher preparation program called TEACH first
class.

I have several years experience

teaching at the pre-school level and look forward to teaching at the upperelementary level. While I loved working with young children, I am excited
about the different experiences I will gain working with fifth-grade students.
In addition to TEACH first class program, I also work in a Princeton afterschool program that helps at-risk children improve their school performance
and English language skills.

I am very grateful to the leaders of

Antheil Elementary School and to Mrs. Collins for mentoring me in the

elementary classroom. More importantly, I am grateful to this group of fifthgrade students for teaching me about teaching and learning. I look forward
to the next few months of observing, helping and teaching in the classroom
to make your child's classroom experience as fulfilling as possible.
