Dear Parents/Guardians:
You may have heard in news reports that the Ontario Secondary School Teachers
Federation (OSSTF) has announced it will target seven school boards across Ontario for
job action in the coming weeks including our neighbouring Ottawa-Carleton District
School Board.
We wish you to be aware that the Upper Canada District School Board is not the focus of
this effort by OSSTF. We are actively engaged in good-faith bargaining with our local
OSSTF branch and are optimistic that we will come to an agreement over the course of
the next few months.
In the interim, our first priority remains our students education and we will continue to
work toward achieving their success.
