The death of a

loved one
By Julia Slowiaczek

What I know already

I know that coping and dealing with the death of a loved
one is hard but not impossible.
I know what I have seen and experienced mainly as an
outside perspective in a tragedy like this.
I find this subject very interesting and am ready to learn
more about it.

Why this subject?

I have been in a situation where I was the outside
perspective in a tragedy like this.
I am interested in things like this and how we can find
hope from it and grow from experiences like this.

something like this?

7. Does religion play apart in all of this?
8. How does religion play a part of this? And how big of an
impact does it have on some people?
9. How can you as an outsider help?
10. What are some cultural beliefs and rituals around the
death of a loved one?

Questions I would like to answer

narrowed down to the most important
1. How does the death of a loved one affect different types
of people?
2. What are some cultural beliefs around death of a loved
one?
3. What techniques can be used to cope with or help with
something like this?

Where will you find these

answers?
Probably in research journals of some type, maybe
articles, or scholarly studies. I think it might be hard to
define how certain people find religion in this situation
considering there are so many religions and so many
different types of people, we are all different so I probably
wont be able to find specifics for that question.

If needed how will you narrow your

research?
I will narrow the topic to how to cope with the death of a
loved one, or how the death of a loved one affects people?

If needed how will you broaden

it?
If needed I can open it p to just how death in general
affects people instead of coping with the death of a loved
one specifically.
