Hitler youth

Historical Background
Hitler Youth trained young boys from 14-18 years old
Started in 1926
Baldur von Schirach oversaw the Hitler Youth and other
Nazi youth movements.
The Hitler Youth wore uniforms of brown shirts, black
shorts or trousers, and red and white armbands with the
Nazi swastika emblem.

How Youths were Organized


From the ages of 10 to 14, boys belonged to the German
Young People
Society of German Maidens (Bund deutscher Mdel), for
girls aged 14 to 18.

At the required age you had to join the Hitler Youth
project
The children had to say if their parents had offended
Hitler

Nazi Propaganda
Hitler Youth propaganda, such as the one on the right,
showed German kids to be happy they were in Hitler
Youth

The children of the Nazi youth movements put their
progress in a booklet
Nearly every activity became a team competition
Many activities included boys and girls sports; singing;
Nazi marches; hiking and camping; and collecting
materials for the Nazi cause

League of German girls


Girls had gotten traditional training to become mothers
Young girls from10 and eater were taken into the
organizations which taught 2 things: to take care of their
bodies so they can has many children that the State
needed.

Consequences for Rebellion


Anyone who rebelled against the Nazi Party had faced a
death sentence
