people.
The Office of Indigenous Affairs is part of the Department of Prime Minister and
Cabinet.
Nigel Scullion - the Minister for Indigenous Affairs or Against Indigenous Affairs?
Already South Australian Aboriginal Communities dont know whether they will
be getting water, power and other essential services funded. MUNS funding.
The Federal Gov has pushed it over to the SA Government who refused to accept
the one off offer of $10m as completely inadequate the SA gov are negotiating
for more. Will it happen? and by the cut off date July 1 ?
The latest news: the announcement of the budget allocations now known as
Indigenous Advancement Strategy. IAS funding: the normal funding to run a
Community apart from essential services. Last week Leaders in the communities
were contacted to be told1)Aboriginal Communities in regional South Australia have been funded less than
10% cut by 90% of their needed budget funding.
2)Aboriginal remote Communities in South Australia
*APY Lands including Amata, Pukatja (Ernabella), Indulkana big settlements as
well as smaller comunities and homelands etc have received NO funding at all.
*Maralinga Lands NO funding
