It is with great pleasure that I formally and highly recommend Ms. Kayleh Hartage for
participation in the Retaining Engineers through Research Entrepreneurship and Advanced-Materials
Training (RETREAT) program. This young lady have proven herself to be the cream of the crop. She
have been rewarded with one of the top scholarships, graduating from high school, to matriculate to
an institution of higher learning. During Ms. Hartage tenure in Huntsville, I have the distinct pleasure
of being her mentor. She has consistently surpass my expectations in nearly every manner. She has
demonstrated outstanding initiative, logical thinking, and superb technical skills while she is here in
Huntsville. Ms. Hartage willingness to participate in this program and her mission first attitude can
be directly linked to the success that she will have.

Ms. Hartage is a team player, quick learner, and grasps complex concepts with ease. She
demonstrates daily that she can directly apply what she has learned to the task at hand. It is clear
after mentoring and working with Ms. Hartage that she will be successful in whatever endeavor
she chooses to pursue. That said, her participation in the RETREAT Program will benefit the
program, her future place of employment, and at the same time expose her to the benefits of a
career in Engineering.
