Cover Letter
As a student of Buckingham Charter Magnet High School I am required to write a cover letter.
Not only to help me in the future, but to set my resumes apart from hundreds of other applicants
and convince the employer why I should be called for an interview. Writing this cover letter is
also a huge step in graduating from high school and beginning to pursue a career after high
school.
With the end of the school year approaching and the talk of deciding what I am going to do
with my future, I am asked to look back on my high school experience and talk about what
experiences at BCMHS have influenced my future plans. The steps I have taken during high
school to prepare me for this internship are: passing the required classes to graduate, pursuing
friendships with students and teachers who support what I am doing after high school, and taking
the Service Learning class. Over the past four years I have changed into a completely different
person, therefor preparing me for the world outside of high school and being an adult.
My five year plan after finishing high school is to attend a nine month internship at the Fathers
House. During these nine months I will be studying the Bible, going into various communities
and serving, and bringing the word of God to the people around me. After completing this
program I plan to go back to school and get my nursing degree so I can move to a third world
country (ex: Africa) and become a pediatrician.

I anticipate your enthusiastic approval of my portfolio and I am looking forward to my high

school graduation and beginning the next phase of my life.
