Whentestisgoingonmakesurenobodypartsarebelowthebeamendandthereisa1m
radiusaroundtheXRFclearofpeople(iftheyseethelightsflashing,theyareonthewrong
side).XRFdeviceemitsradioactivewavesandcanbeharmfultopeople.
Whenthetestisdone,thescreenbelowwillappear>keeptrackofthetestnumber(beside
thedateingreen(#8inthescreenshotbelow)alongwithwhatacmesamplenumberit
correspondsto(sample1198784)
Thereshouldbe3clickswhenthetestisgoingononeafter30seconds(beamchange),one
after60seconds(beamchange)andoneafter90seconds(beamstopped).Whenlightsstop
flashingandthebottomlefthandcornerhasagreenlightandsaysready,theXRFisreadyfor
thenexttest.

CalCheck:

Ifacalcheckisrequired(generallywhenyouturnontheunitandonceortwiceduringtheday),
thecalcheckbuttonwillappearwherethestart/stopbuttonis.Inthestatusbartherewillalso
beagreencircleandCalCheckRequiredwrittenthere.
HittheCalCheckbuttonandwaituntiltestisdone.
Ifyoudonotpassthetest,hittheexclamationmark,checkthelogandtestagain
Ifyoupassthetest,continueXRFingsamples

Results:

SelecttheResultsicon(piechart)
SelecttheToolsbutton(screwdriverandwrench)
SelecttheoptionsyouwantSelectalltheelements,thesamplesbelowdetection,etc...
Whenyouhaveselectedwhatyouareinterestedin,hittheExportbutton

Selectthedateoftheresultsthatyouareinterested
UsetheToolsbuttontoselecttheparametersyouareexporting.TheSetChemistrybuttonon
thenextscreenwillallowyoutoselecttheelementsthatyouareexportingalongwiththe
exportthreshold.
Whenyouarereadytogo,hittheExportbutton(paperwiththegreenarrow)

TheExportbuttonwillbringyoutotheexportingscreen.Dependingonthesettingsyoumaybe
abletorenameyourfile.Thedefaultnamewillbethedateyouareexportingregardlessofhow
manysamplesyouareexportingorfromwhichdays.
AllowtheexporttocompleteandyouaredonewiththeXRF.

Gettingresultsontoyourcomputer:

MakesureWindowsMobileisinstalledonyourlaptop.Thisfreeprogramwillallowyouto
accesstheXRFsdriverstogetthedata.ThisprogramalsovariesfromWindowsversionsandbit
driverssoyouwillhavetonavigatefromthelinkbeloworGoogleWindowsMobileDevice
CenterWindows(typeyouhave)bit(typeyouhave32or64).

Checktomakesurethecsvfileiscorrectandthatyouexportedtheelementsthatyouwantin
thesettingsthatyouwant.Ifyouhaveanydoubts,gothroughtheExportingprocessagainand
edityourselectionsintheToolswindowuntilyouhavetheresultsinadesiredoutlook.
