Dear Ms. Jane Sanders
I am writing to you today in regards to the new nursing graduates of practical nursing job on the
B400 unit that was posted on the HRRH website. As noted on my resume, I will graduate in 2015
from the Humber College practical nursing program.
Through the programs clinical experiences, I have had the opportunity to work in several
different settings. I have had clinical experiences in the post-op, acute care and have done my
pregrad consolidation in an oncology/medicine unit. These clinical experiences have enabled me
to develop strong skills that will help me throughout my nursing career and have helped me build
confidence in my nursing skills and develop as a nurse as I provide care for a diverse client
population in different settings.
I have been trained to provide care and services towards the clients. I have the ability to monitor ,
assess and document vital signs. The ability to asses patients condition and perform neuro,
cardio, resp and GI assessments, ability to administer medications orally, IV, intradermal,
intramuscular, and subcutaneously. I have performed suctioning of tracheostomy, insertion of
indwelling catheters, wound dressings and provided the best care. Additionally, I have excellent
communication skills, which helped me effectively interact with clients, families of the client,
physicians and other nurses working on the unit. I believe that I would be a great addition to the
nursing team and that I would be of great service to your unit.
I am very interested in working with the hospital and on the unit. I believe that I would be a great
addition to the nursing team and that I would be of great service to your unit. I believe that my
skills and experience will have prepared me well. I have attached my resume and would like to
