This is my introduction that summarises everything very

briefly should be of help

Heath and safety is a priority issue for the US oil and gas industry
and determines how the public perceives the company and its
employees. Exploiting hydrocarbon reserves is a very dangerous
process and those involved in the industry should strive to manage
associated health risks and achieve good levels of safety
performance. Oil companies also should make an effort to be fully
aware of their impacts on the environment and public, in addition to
implementing any action that would resolve those issues. To ensure
that associated risks are minimal within the Wattenberg Field a
hazard management program will be in incorporated into daily
activities for the protection and safety of employees. Heath and
safety officials also deal with the disposal of dangerous substances
safely in compliance with regulatory laws to minimise long and
short-term environmental damages.

Important health and Safety points

The threat of physical hazards such as fires, spills, explosions and
electrical faults all pose a serious health risk to personnel. These
hazards are addressed by the use of a hazard management
programs that aim to minimise safety concerns.
In order to maintain safe practices and operations the Wattenberg
Gas Plant holds numerous technical documents comprising of
chemical properties and related hazards, limits for fundamental
process parameters, as well as information regarding equipment
design, arrangement, and maintenance.
The Wattenberg Gas Plant often uses the hazard and operability
analysis (HAZOP) technique to fulfil heath and safety requirements.

Waste disposal in the Wattenberg field is managed by the use of a

waste hierarchy system to ensure waste is handled in an
appropriate manner. This involves using techniques to keep waste
generation to a minimum, as well as ways of recycling, treating and
disposing of waste materials.

There are a number of major environmental laws that must be

followed to ensure safe practices are being executed within the
Wattenberg field. These regulations affect the way and manner in
which an oil company performs its day-to-day operations.
