The higher the temperature of the solvent, the faster the solute dissolve in it.
Aim : To study the effect of temperature of solvent on the rate of solubility of solute.
Manipulated variable : temperature of water
Responding variable : time taken for sugar to dissolve
Constant variable : volume of water
Apparatus :Beaker, Bunsen burner, tripod stand, thermometer, wire gauze, glass rod, stopwatch
Materials: sugar, distilled water
Procedure
1. Pour 30 ml of distilled water into a beaker.
2. Heat the distilled water until it reach 30C
3. Add 10 g of sugar into the beaker.
4. Stir the mixture and record the time taken for sugar to dissolve.
5. Repeat the step 1 4 by using water at 45C, 60C and 75C.
