6 Similarities:
Literary adaptation is the adapting of a literary source (e.g. a novel, short story, poem)
to another genre or medium, such as a film, a stage play, or even a video game. It can also
involve adapting the same literary work in the same genre or medium, just for different purposes,
e.g. to work with a smaller cast, in a smaller venue (or on the road), or for a
different demographic group (such as adapting a story for children).
You will adapt a fairy tale to appeal to a different audience. Your options are wide open.
You can write a short play or film script, short story, epic poem, etc. Simply adapting the fairy
tale to appeal to a different audience will most likely be most effective.
You must include at least 6 distinct similarities, listed at the beginning of your story.
My fairy tale is 2-6 pages, typed. It is written in Times New Roman, 12 point font. It has
1 inch margins and is double spaced. I indent all my paragraphs; this includes new paragraphs
and whenever a new character speaks, If I am able to figure it out, my last name and page
number go in the top, right-hand corner.
