I am contacting you at this time to indicate my interest in applying for the Registered
Practical Nursing position posted in your website.
I have recently completed the Practical Nursing program in Humber Institute of Technology
and Advance Learning, and I will write CPNRE exam on May 2015.
I have recently completed 320 clinical hours in medical rehabilitation unit and slow stream
reactivation unit in Etobicoke General Hospital and Brampton Civic Hospital (BCH). In
addition, I have accomplished the 420 hour pre graduate consolidation clinical experience in
mental health department at BCH.
In my clinical, I was able to perform physical assessment, mental status examination,
medication administrations, wound dressings, G tube feeding and male/female catheter
care, and activities for daily living. My clinical rotations provided me with strong
assessment skills, great patient care abilities and a best understanding of hospital policies
and procedures. During my studies and clinical experiences, I have been a dedicated and
highly efficient student, as well as a strong team member, endeavors to demonstrate
professionalism in both nurse-client and professional relationships. I am respectful and
sensitive to diverse cultural, ethnic differences among patients and colleagues.
Further, I was an experienced Registered Nurse in back home. In my 18 year health
service, I had an opportunity to work in medical units, operating room, mental health
department, and Out Door patient Department (OPD).
I firmly believe that the combination of my knowledge, skills, and experience would
contribute to enhance your service.
