Notice to all Post-Secondary Education Students


Re: Winter Transcripts for Spring/Summer Sessions
As per the Sipeknekatik Band Post-Secondary Education Assistance Policy, students are
required to submit their second semester transcripts to the Education Department.
Attendance for the Spring/Summer Sessions:

Students will be considered for the Spring/Summer semesters if they are carrying
a course load that is equivalent to full-time studies during the fall and winter
semesters as per section (f) of this policy and have received a midterm mark of at
least a C on each course.

Students must have also completed one full year of university. Students cannot
apply for funding to attend a Spring/Summer session course prior to their first
year of university.

The Sipeknekatik Band will consider Spring/Summer FULL TIME status if


they are actively engaged in 15 or more classroom hours per week. The
Sipeknekatik Band will require a letter from the Post-Secondary institutions
Registrars Office confirming such classroom hours.

Graduating students are required to send a copy of their transcripts and a copy of their
graduating diploma/certificate to qualify for the graduation incentive.
All information needs to be emailed to Director of Education Velvet Paul at
vpaul@sipeknekatik.ca no later than Thursday, April 30, 2015.
